There are 30 climbing routes with permanent and movable protections. The basaltic rocks have got great adherence, are not aggressive to the hands and the heights may vary from 10 to 30 meters.
The equipment is necessary, it can be particular or you can rent in Campo de Desafios which has a certification in international organizations that prove the security and resistance of the equipments.
If you prove you have experience in rock climbing, you can access all the routes without the guide´s following.
