The Fishing Boats
Loumar Turismo centralizes it’s fishing programs in the regions of Ituzaingó e Itaibaté , in the province of Corrientes , Argentina where the biggest shoals of Surubim (average 25 kg.) and Dourado (12 kg.) are concentrated in Paraná River. It happens because , according to the biologists of the Etiology of Corrientes “ Since the building of the Yaciterã power plant, the shoals of Dourado, Surubis and Pacus with big size donpt move more than 200 km. downriver.

Local Species and Medium Size
In the Argentine fishing boats in Argentina explored by Loumar Turismo, in Paraná River you can find the biggest dourados, surubins, cacharas, piaparas, and piracanjubas. It’s the ideal place for the fisherman to look for his trophy from the sweet water.
Dourado: Average weight when captured = 12 Kg
It’s common to find specimens with more than 15 Kg.
Time of the year when it occurs the most: September to May, when the temperature of the water is warmer.
Surubim: Average weight when captured: 20 to 30 Kg.
Specimens with more than 40 Kg are frequently found.
Season: all year. The biggest ones are captured from July to October
