The falls are the result of a volcanic eruption that let a huge crack in the earth and they are divided between Brazil and Argentina, because both are formed by the same river, the Iguassu River. They are equally impressive by its size and beauty.
The main difference between both is that in Brazil the panoramic view shows the most fantastic scenery and in Argentina the contact with the falls is more important.
The tour is divided in two parts, the inferior and the superior. To get in the observation runways, the visitors run through the trail in a gas train which takes people to the Devil´s Throat (a huge chasm that forms the most beautiful view of the falls). The second part of the tour is one hour hiking until you get closer to the river, then you start seeing the waters and hearing the noise they make, making the tour even more exciting.
The park has got a great tour structure; there are cafeterias, a first aid station, demonstrative panels of the park, lots of bathrooms and drinking places. Plan a full day in this place to fully enjoy the fauna and flora.
