
The Eco-Museum is part of the Iguassu Tourist Complex together with the Spawning Channel and the Biological Sanctuary.
This museum was opened in 1987 and totally restructured in 2002. It demonstrates the Itaipu Binational trajectory and its nature impacts since the construction until nowadays. It represents a link between the environment and men work.
This museum in Foz do Iguaçu is different from the others because its main intention is not to be a past observatory, but an observatory to the future. It has got many old monuments donated by Foz do Iguaçu community, interactive and computerized resources to show how was made the occupation in this region; archeological samples of pre historical people, paleontologic, environmental projects, permanent and temporary exhibitions and there is also a replica of a running turbine axel.
The visitation is for free.
Working hours: from Thursday to Sunday, from 8 a.m to 6 p.m.
