Buddhist Temple in Iguassu Falls

Located on the banks of the Parana River, the Buddhist Temple in Foz do Iguazu was built by the Chinese community of the triple border. It includes an extensive park of 50 hectares and is considered one of the greatest centres of Buddhist study and meditation in Latin America.

Among the many attractions that this Oriental culture space in Foz do Iguazu offers, it stands the imposing sculpture of seven feet tall Maitreya Buddha, made of concrete.

Other 120 Amitabha Buddha statues are arranged around the Plaza of the Buddhas, and in front of a huge terrace, dominates the typical Chinese architecture of the imposing shrine Ksitigarbha. In this two-story building and 1,600square meters, is the residence of the master and an area devoted to Buddhas.

The Sanctuary, the sculptures of the temple and the harmonious park transmit a lot of peace and balance, inviting us to meditate. It is a real tour of the East without leaving Foz do Iguazu.
