Foz do Iguaçu is a city with a great diversity of ethnics. You can find Japanese, Chinese and mainly Arabic people, together they totalize 12 thousand immigrants and descendents.
The Arabic .Mosque Ibn Al-Khatab in Foz do Iguaçu was created by the local Arabic community in 1983, it is a religion symbol and a sumptuous temple, people can see this Mosque from far away. There are two 15-meter towers and the architecture that catches the attention of everybody who passes in the streets in Foz do Iguaçu. The Arabic Mosque is decorated with abstract art of religious inspiration and many drawings and paintings with Muslim Scriptures in Arabic.
It is opened for visitation, although is necessary to book this tour. And this is a sacred place, so you have to respect the costumes, like leaving the shoes on the temple´s entrance. Mosques are houses of God on earth to congregate men.
